Is anyone else frustrated at the lack of parking facilities in DCU? An arrival any later than 10 o’clock and you have to spend an age driving around looking for a space! A trip into the helix car park results in the dizzying experience of driving in circles up and down, often with no success. A trip into the only designated free parking area is even worse! This carpark often resembles a scene from 28 days later or I am legend, with cars recklessly abandoned all over the place! What is happening with the boarded up area between the entrance and the helix, surely this should be opened to try and cope with the severe lack of spaces?

I agree completely, parking in DCU is an absolute joke. Very often not only are the free car parks full but the multi-story car park is full as well, this means that students are forced to park outside campus. I have a lot of sympathy for the local residents, I am sure that it is a complete pain for them to have to put up with cars parked all around their houses. But what else can students do? This is something that DCU needs to look at urgently.
